Actor Fattah Amin has confirmed that he and singer Amira Othman are set to wed on Sept 14 – a date that also marks his 35th birthday.

The announcement was made on Monday (Sept 8) during the launch of Rasa & Takdir, a new single by Amira, 31, and her brother, Irfan Haris.

“Many must be wondering why I’m here at the Rasa & Takdir launch. The truth is, Amira and I have some good news to share,” Fattah said.

“As everyone knows, we started out as colleagues, and after getting to know each other for some time, God willing, we’ll be changing our status from colleagues to housemates,” he added.

The celebrity couple is also extending an invitation to all Malaysians to be part of their special day.

Their wedding will be broadcast live on Sept 14 at 8pm, exclusively on the Unifi TV 2.0 app via the Inspirasi channel (Ch 118).

“We would like to invite everyone to witness our wedding live, Setulus Takdir: Fattah Amira, exclusively on the Unifi TV 2.0 app,” said Fattah.

Amira added: “Don’t worry, everyone in Malaysia will be able to watch it for free.

“At the moment, we are in the midst of preparation. We ask for everyone’s prayers so that everything will go smoothly.”

In addition to the live coverage, viewers can catch a 10-episode documentary, Setulus Takdir: Fattah Amira, which premiered on Sept 8.

The series charts the couple’s love story, from their first meeting to their wedding day.

This will be Fattah’s second marriage.

He was previously married to actress Fazura; their divorce was confirmed on Oct 7 last year. They share a five-year-old daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya.
