Malaysian singer-actor Parvin Nair Surendran was killed in an accident along the Federal Highway in Shah Alam, Selangor, on Aug 7. He was 33.
According to his younger sister Yesotha, the incident occurred between 8pm and 9.30pm near LRT Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) – which is still under construction – as Parvin was riding his motorcycle towards Kuala Lumpur.
On Tuesday (Aug 12), the grieving family took to Instagram to request dashcam footage from that night, hoping it might shed light on what happened.
“If you or someone you know was driving there, please check your dashcam. Your help could give us answers for our dear brother’s passing,” the family wrote.
However, in an interview with Astro Awani on Friday (Aug 15), Yesotha said no one has come forward so far.
“We urge anyone who passed through the area at the time to check their dashcam footage,” she pleaded.
Parvin’s death, Yesotha said, is a devastating blow to the family as he's the only son. The late artiste has three older sisters and a younger sister.
Parvin, who tied the knot in March this year, was best known for his stellar performances in dramas such as Kalyanam To Kadhal and Manmadha Bullets.
Anyone with information on the accident can contact Yesotha at 012-253 9309.
