TVB star Rosina Lam, who married finance executive Jason Mok in 2015, lives in a luxurious mansion at the prestigious The Peak, Hong Kong, where property is said to cost HK$1.5bil (approximately RM900mil).

So, it was a surprise to fans when news circulated that the TVB Best Actress winner is in the middle of a bankruptcy petition.

Lam has since opened up about the bankruptcy claims, saying: “My husband Jason’s rental property company is involved in a lawsuit and is currently appealing. So this whole thing is baffling to me.

"The matter has been handed over to our lawyer, and I haven’t received any official notice.”

The 37-year-old TVB star subsequently shared a lawyer’s letter to further clarify her stance.

“Thank you all for your concern. I am not bankrupt. Please stop spreading rumours. The matter has been handed over to our lawyer!” she said on Weibo on May 30.

According to entertainment site Jaynestars, the case is scheduled for hearing on Aug 26 this year.
