Singaporean actor Desmond Tan is going to be a father again.

The 38-year-old Mediacorp artiste announced via his Instagram on April 3 that his wife is pregnant with their second child, a baby boy.

He uploaded a clip of the baby’s gender reveal, which was done at a photography studio. The couple waited with their eyes closed before their one-year-old daughter, gifted them blue flowers.

Tan wrote in the clip’s caption: “Blessed beyond measure! Our little family is growing, and we can’t wait to welcome our baby boy into the world. Having our firstborn reveal the gender of her sibling means the world to us!”

His wife and daughter both had their faces obscured in the clip. The star of Channel 8 dramas like All That Glitters (2023) did not reveal how far along his wife is.

Tan married his university sweetheart after a 12-year courtship in 2021 in a destination wedding held at a chateau in France. Their daughter was born in March 2024.

He told The Straits Times in April 2024 that he felt a deep happiness after becoming a father. He said then: “Most people tend to be focused on themselves, but after the birth of my little one, I feel a shift. Now, I put my family way ahead of myself in all my decision-making.” – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
