Popular singer Jaclyn Victor is open to offers to perform concerts abroad, particularly in Singapore and Indonesia, if given the opportunity.

Jaclyn, 46, considers performing on an international stage an exciting prospect, although she acknowledges the significant challenges, especially when it comes to family commitments.

“After my solo concert last October, one of the plans was to take it to Singapore. However, my packed schedule, including the launch of my new album and various other events, caused the plan to be delayed.

“If there are promoters interested in organising my concert overseas, I would never say no – I’ll just do it. Whatever offers come my way, I’m OK with them,” she said.

She added that every singer dreams of holding a solo concert abroad.

“Singing in front of an audience that truly appreciates you creates a completely different and thrilling atmosphere.

“You automatically absorb the energy from the fans and give back with your best performance.

“If I get an invitation to Singapore, why not? To Indonesia? Why not? Why not?” she said enthusiastically.

Regarding her latest album Glorious, Jaclyn shared that it is something different from what she has done before.

“This album feels very fresh. In the past, if I had received some of these songs, I wouldn’t have understood them.

“Take B.D.T, for example – when I first heard the demo, I didn’t get it and didn’t like it. But once it was fully produced, I absolutely fell in love with it.

“So, I think the melodies in this album are catchy and easy for listeners to enjoy,” she said.

Meanwhile, the Gemilang singer also expressed her excitement about performing Glorious with an 80-piece orchestra at The Art of Sound, scheduled for April 19 and 20 at the Petaling Jaya Performing Arts Centre.

“This performance is special because it will be the global premiere of Glorious in an orchestral arrangement. It’s a challenge, but I’m excited to share this experience with my fans,” she added. – Bernama
