Just days before Hari Raya Aidilfitri, actress Faye Kusairi faced an unfortunate incident when the roof of her condominium’s balcony collapsed onto her Proton Exora car.

Faye, whose full name is Dayangku Faratiwan Adnil Awang Kusairi, 37, said that not only her car but also several of her neighbours' vehicles suffered the same fate.

"Around 4pm on Wednesday (March 26), one of the balcony roofs on the third floor of our condo building collapsed – most likely because the wooden structure was rotten or old."

"All the heavy concrete and wood fell onto my car as well as my neighbours' cars," she wrote on Instagram, accompanied by a photo that showed the extensive damage the cars sustained.

Although she has accepted what happened, Faye admitted she's saddened to see her car, which has been a vital part of her daily routine, badly damaged.

Faye, who started a roadside chicken rice business in November 2024, also revealed that she is currently struggling financially, as her business has not been doing well, and Hari Raya is approaching.

"I'm really sad. Raya is just around the corner, and I need a lot of money. It will still be a while before I start filming again.

"My business has also been slow this Ramadan. Chicken rice isn’t exactly a dinner meal; it’s more of a lunch meal.

"On top of that, I use this car to earn a living, send my children to school, and for travel, including balik kampung. It’s heartbreaking, but I accept it," she added.

At the same time, Faye urged people not to speculate or spread rumours that she had taken unlicensed loans or was the victim of sabotage.

"Please don’t assume I borrowed from loan sharks or that this was an act of sabotage. Enough with the negativity.

"I’m someone who minds my own business – I don’t bother others, cause trouble, or do anything bad. That’s why people say I’m boring," she added.

Meanwhile, efforts by mStar – The Star's Malay language portal – to get further comments from Faye were unsuccessful, as phone calls went unanswered.
