Hong Kong pop sensation G.E.M. is making headlines after securing two luxury flats in Hong Kong at a 35% discount from their peak price three years ago.

The 33-year-old acquired the two 2,480 sq ft units at Leon Court on Wong Nai Chung Gap Road in Wan Chai for a whopping HK$85mil (RM48.5mil).

According to the South China Morning Post, the transactions were completed earlier this month under G.E.M.’s birth name Tang Sze-wing.

The publication added that the previous owner had merged the two flats into a duplex.

It also reported that the deal underscored a steep price drop, as another unit on a higher floor in the same building was sold for HK$65mil (RM37mil) in 2022.

Beyond her prolific music career, G.E.M. is also known for her real estate investments.

As reported by Dimsum Daily, she purchased a 2,000 sq ft duplex for HK$20mil (RM11.4mil) in 2013 and a four-bedroom condominium unit for HK$22mil (RM12.6mil) in 2018.
