The release Kim Soo-hyun's new K-drama Knock-Off has been postponed amid controversy surrounding the actor, says streaming platform Disney+.

"After careful consideration, we have paused plans to release Knock-Off," Disney+ told Yonhap News Agency on Friday.

The series, which was set to premiere in April, was among Disney+’s most highly anticipated releases of the year.

The 37-year-old actor is currently embroiled in controversy amid allegations that he dated the late actress Kim Sae-ron when she was underage.

Set in the aftermath of the 1997 Asian financial crisis, Knock-Off follows Seong-jun (Kim Soo-hyun), whose life is turned upside down by economic turmoil, propelling him into the global counterfeit trade.
