Taiwanese singer-actor Tony Sun and his girlfriend, singer Ariel Sha, have tied the knot after six years together.
Sun, a member of the pop group 5566, announced the news in a Facebook post on Monday (March 3), writing: “From this day on, we’re no longer just best friends.”
The 47-year-old shared that his relationship with Sha, 36, had always been built on both love and deep friendship. Now, they’re embracing a new chapter – family.
“After waking up one morning in 2025, we casually flipped through the calendar, and our eyes landed on March 3.
“The date is simple yet cute, resembling two hands forming an 'OK' gesture. It felt like a symbol that no matter the challenges ahead, come rain or shine, everything will be OK,” he said.
This is Sun's second marriage; he was previously married to Taiwanese actress Angel Han, between 2011 and 2015.
Sun added that their dog Nini played a significant role in their journey, teaching both him and Sha to be more patient and responsible.
He believes that with each other’s support, and the companionship of their beloved furkid, they can overcome anything together.
“From this moment on, we’ll work hard to spend the rest of our lives together.”
Sun and Sha first sparked dating rumours in 2019 after reports surfaced that they grew close when Sha became a regular guest on his variety show The Hunger Games.
Despite several sightings together, both insisted that they were just good friends at the time.
It wasn’t until they were seen holding hands while walking their dog that Sha finally acknowledged their relationship, telling reporters that they were “doing very well”.
