Hong Kong celebrity Oscar Li, known for his villainous roles in TVB dramas, has spent over two decades in the entertainment industry.

Since joining TVB in 1999, the 43-year-old has starred in a variety of shows such as No Regrets (2010), Tiger Cubs (2011), Birth Of A Hero (2018) and more.

In 2021, Li married a woman from mainland China and left TVB that following year. The couple shares a three-month-old daughter named Olivia.

To support his family, Li has transitioned to a new role as an autonomous vehicle operator at Hong Kong International Airport.

According to Headline Daily, Li recently received an award for his outstanding performance in ensuring airport safety.

Expressing his joy in an interview with the Hong Kong publication, he said: “I’m really happy because I never expected to win an award for just doing my job.”

Li works 12 hours a day, starting at 5am with inspections to ensure the autonomous vehicles are safe for operation.

The former TVB star said he has always held himself to high standards regardless of his job.

“I always strive to improve to the best of my capabilities. This award isn’t about luck – it’s the result of nearly two years of hard work, which makes it even more rewarding,” he added.

Despite the demands of his job, Li shared that his exhaustion disappears the moment he returns home to his wife and daughter.

“No matter how tired I am after a long shift, all the fatigue fades away when I see my daughter and wife. I feel so happy and blessed.”

When asked about his daughter Olivia, Li couldn’t contain his joy, marvelling at how much she has grown.

“I used to carry her with one hand, but that’s getting difficult now. She’s much heavier – already weighing around 14.3lbs (6.48kg).

“She can also tell who’s dad and mum, and even recognises voices now. Watching her grow like this makes me so happy,” he shared.
