Hong Kong actress Michelle Wai and boyfriend, aesthetic doctor Kenley Chau, generated buzz after marrying at a church on Feb 16.

The couple celebrated their union with a lavish banquet at Hong Kong's Island Shangri-La Hotel in Admiralty, surrounded by family and celebrity friends.

During the reception, Wai took a moment to thank her family for their unwavering support.

"You're not losing a daughter but gaining a son. I will continue to be filial to you," the 40-year-old said, before turning to her in-laws, promising to care for them too.

The actress, known for her role in the hit Hong Kong film The Last Dance (2024), also moved her husband to tears with a touching tribute.

She announced her engagement to Chau in June 2024.

"I'm grateful that you appeared in my life when I needed you the most. In another lifetime, I hope we can meet sooner," she added.

When it was Chau’s turn to speak, the aesthetic doctor confessed that he had imagined marrying Wai countless times.

"Meeting Michelle was the greatest stroke of luck and the biggest blessing in my life," he shared.

Chau went on to reveal that he had noticed Wai long before they crossed paths.

He first saw her in a YouTube video and was instantly drawn to her optimism and kindness.
