Blackpink may be gearing up for a full-group comeback, but its members – Jennie, Rose, Lisa and Jisoo – aren’t slowing down in the meantime.

Just a week after Jennie unveiled the music video for her pre-release track Love Hangover on Jan. 31, Lisa dropped a teaser for Born Again, featuring global pop stars Doja Cat and Raye.

Lisa’s collaboration with Doja Cat stems from her long-standing admiration for the American rapper, whom she had previously named as an artist she wished to work with. Their shared connection through RCA Records facilitated the collaboration, with Raye also joining the project, bringing Lisa’s vision to life.

Jisoo is set to release her new EP Amortage on Feb 15, followed three days later by Lisa’s first full-length album Alter Ego. In March, Jennie will unveil her first LP Ruby, which includes 15 tracks, among them her recent hit single, Mantra.

Meanwhile, Rose’s chart-topping collaboration with Bruno Mars, APT., held its No. 3 position on the Billboard Hot 100 for the second consecutive week, according to the latest chart update released Wednesday.

Jisoo remains especially busy, balancing both acting and singing.

She stars in Coupang Play’s upcoming series Newtopia, premiering Friday, and has two more major projects lined up this year – TV drama Monthly House Boyfriend and the film Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, in which she plays leading roles.

Lisa is also expanding into acting, joining the cast of HBO’s The White Lotus for its third season. The season’s first two episodes will premiere on Feb 16.

While each member actively pursues solo ventures, a full-group comeback is also on the horizon.

Jisoo recently hinted at Blackpink’s return in a YouTube interview, saying, "We’re planning to release an album this year and go on tour. I think fans will be able to see all four of us together again sometime this year."

YG Entertainment confirmed the news Thursday, releasing a teaser video for Blackpink’s upcoming world tour on its official blog, YG Life. This marks the group’s first world tour announcement in over a year and five months, following their massive Born Pink tour from 2022 to 2023.

That tour saw Blackpink perform 66 shows across 34 cities over the course of a year, drawing approximately 1.8 million attendees – the largest world tour ever by a K-pop girl group.

To fully support Blackpink’s expansive group activities this year, we have established a dedicated project team internally, accelerating preparations for their comeback, YG Entertainment stated. This year will be filled with large-scale projects befitting Blackpink’s unparalleled global stature. – The Korea Herald/Asia News Network
