Taiwanese star Jimmy Lin and his family were recently spotted in Singapore over Chinese New Year by netizens, who shared photos on social media.

The singer-actor also posted photos of himself on social media on Feb 5, with the caption: “Singapore.”

According to the pictures, the 50-year-old was at Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, Merlion Park and Jewel Changi Airport, and had bak kut teh.

While he did not state where he had the meal, a netizen shared on China’s Instagram-like Xiaohongshu on Feb 2 a group photo with Lin outside the popular Ng Ah Sio Pork Ribs Soup Eating House. The netizen also shared snaps of the artiste’s family members leaving the restaurant.

Lin is married to former model Kelly Chen, 41, and they have three sons – Kimi, 15, and nine-year-old twins Jenson and Kyson.

The singer also shared on Feb 5 photos of himself at several attractions on Sentosa, such as Universal Studios Singapore, Harry Potter: Visions Of Magic and Skyline Luge.

The racing enthusiast also posted a video shot at HyperDrive, an indoor electric go-kart circuit at The Palawan @ Sentosa.

The clip shows a man driving a go-kart and hitting a protective fence at a turn. The car seemed to be stuck and the man raised his right hand to call for help.

It is not known who the man was, as he was wearing a helmet.

Lin had a traffic accident in Taoyuan city, Taiwan, in July 2022, but said in an interview with American Chinese newspaper World Journal in October 2024 that he would not give up racing. He dropped a single, Forever With You, to mark his 50th birthday that month.

Chen also posted on Instagram on Feb 5 several photos of herself in Singapore, enjoying dishes such as laksa, chilli crab and yusheng.

“First post of Chinese New Year 2025,” she wrote in Chinese, using hashtags such as #happynewyear, #love and #gratitude. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
