It looks like British actor Henry Cavill is now a father.

British tabloid Daily Mail on Jan 18 published photos showing the actor and his girlfriend, Hollywood executive Natalie Viscuso, pushing a baby stroller in Australia’s Gold Coast.

Best known for playing Superman in the DC Cinematic Universe movies (2013 to 2023), Cavill is in Australia filming the upcoming American science-fiction action film Voltron.

A source told American magazine People that Cavill, 41, and Viscuso, 34, have welcomed their first child together, without sharing details of the baby’s gender or birth date.

Viscuso also sparked speculation that the couple are engaged after she sported a diamond ring in the photos.

The notoriously private pair went public with their relationship on Instagram in April 2021. They made their red carpet debut as a couple at the premiere of Enola Holmes 2 in New York in October 2022.

Cavill confirmed in April 2024 that they were expecting their first baby during the premiere of The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare in New York.

The Witcher (2019 to present) star was asked by TV show Access Hollywood if seeing his co-star, British actor Henry Golding, as a father had played a role in inspiring him to take on fatherhood.

“I mean, he didn’t inspire me to do that. My parents did,” Cavill said. “But I’m very excited about it. Natalie and I are both very excited. I’m sure you’ll see much more of that.”

Viscuso shared her thoughts about impending motherhood in a post on Instagram in June 2024.

“So very excited for this next phase of life – becoming a mama,” she wrote. “I do hope this kid loves horror movies as much as I do, one day.” – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
