Datuk Jamal Abdillah is proving that age is just a number in more ways than one.

At 65, the legendary singer still finds himself the object of romantic attention from fans who are eager to get close.

However, according to Jamal, in the interest of preserving his family’s unity, he makes a conscious effort to avoid such situations to prevent any potential issues.

“There are always people interested in me, but when such things (flirtation) happen, I back out and head back home."

Jamal shared this during an interview with mStar – The Star's Malay-language portal.

“I always avoid it and don’t think about those things. In my mind, I constantly remind myself that I am a husband and a father.

“My fifth child is on the way. It’s enough to avoid doing things that would trouble my children. I’m old already,” he said.

Jamal shared this during the press conference for the Datuk Jamal Abdillah Sandarkan Pada Kenangan Mencari Azura concert held in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 29.

Jamal and his wife, Datin Zai Izzati, were married in April 2017.

This will be their fifth child together, expected to arrive in January next year.

Jamal also has two other sons from his second and third marriages.

Speaking about preparations for his concert, which will be held on Feb 15 next year, Jamal hopes that it will become a memorable experience for all his fans.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to hold another concert.”

“My biggest concern is that fans won’t enjoy themselves that night. I need to prepare songs that will satisfy the fans and leave lasting memories when they go home,” he said.

On that special night, Jamal will also feature guest artist Wani Hasrita, along with a few others who remain a surprise.

The concert will take place at Zepp Kuala Lumpur, and tickets can be purchased online at www.ticket2u.com.
