Malaysian singer Shila Amzah has welcomed her first child with husband, social media influencer Muhammad Ubaidillah Mohd Zulkefli.

The happy news was announced by Ubai, 26, in an Instagram post on Thursday (May 9).

“Alhamdulillah, my wife has safely given birth. I was tearful when I watched her fighting for her life for the sake of our beloved bundle of joy.

“The experience of reciting our first azan to our newborn was amazing. It’s a feeling I can’t describe,” he wrote.

Ubai expressed gratitude for the blessings given by Allah, adding that his late mother would’ve been happy to see her first grandchild.

He also revealed the name of their daughter: “Assalamualaikum my princess, Rhea Akira.”

Shila and Ubai tied the knot on Aug 5 last year, just six months after going public with their relationship.

Shila, 33, has a four-year-old son Seth Uwais from her previous marriage with Haris Idraki Elias, which ended in divorce in 2022.
