Malaysian teen Brittany Goh has won a ticket to appear in The Voice 2024, a new reality singing show in China.

The 16-year-old, who hails from Labuan, earned her spot with her soulful rendition of Hua Kai Wang You (transliterated) by Chinese singer Zhou Shen.

In an interview with StarLifestyle, Brittany said she didn't think she would qualify for the TV show.

“I felt surprised when I was chosen because I never expected it. It’s my first time standing on such a big stage. I’m looking forward to gaining new experience and trying things I’ve never tried before,” said Brittany.

According to her brother Bryan Goh, it was Brittany’s vocal coach from China signed her up for The Voice 2024. She is among the first batch of participants on the show.

Auditions to appear on the show are still ongoing.

“At the moment, Brittany is the only Malaysian to appear in the show,” Bryan told StarLifestyle.

Brittany, who's currently attending school in Labuan, started singing at the tender age of four and has participated in many singing contests.

Brittany has previously won the special gold award at the 2018 Chinese Festival Dream China in Guangzhou, Bryan said.

The talented teen also clinched the gold medal at the 2019 Hong Kong International Youth Arts Festival.
