Hong Kong singer Deep Ng is now a construction worker

Hong Kong singer Deep Ng surprised his fans when he posted videos of him working at a construction site.

The 40-year-old left his agency, Emperor Entertainment Group in November 2023. In an Instagram post, he expressed gratitude to the company that helped cultivate his singing career.

"In a blink of an eye, I will leave this birthplace after 20 years... I will not forget everything I have learned here and the time I have spent," he wrote.

Ng won the New Talent Singing Awards in 2002 and has since released over seven albums and starred in more than 20 TV shows and movies, including New Police Story and Raging Fire.

In 2022, the singer married model Margiela Kwok and in the same year, they welcomed a baby boy.

To make ends meet, Ng has taken up gigs as a stage engineer as well as in the F&B line.

Currently, he works in construction and would often share his routines with his fans on Instagram.

Fans are rallying behind the singer, praising his commitment to and sacrifice for his family.

Ng thanks his supporters, telling them that he will continue to sing and to look out for his new song soon.
