Former screen goddess Amy Yip, famous for her roles in multiple Category III Hong Kong films, does not intend to play provocative roles anymore.

In a recent interview with Hong Kong media, Yip, who retired from acting in 1997, said she's interested in making a comeback and has received many acting offers.

However, she has yet to find a script or role she likes.

"I will only act if I find a suitable script. I hope I can express myself creatively without relying on sex appeal. I've already turned down scripts that require me to play provocative characters. I won't do something I dislike," the 57-year-old said.

In addition to acting, Yip is interested in exploring other creative pursuits like singing.

According to China Press, the Hong Kong celeb recently earned praise from netizens after a video of her singing at a party was uploaded online.

"I feel like I don't have to stick to filming movies. Sometimes, I can sing, shoot advertisements or film a drama. I actually enjoy doing them all," she added.

During the interview, Yip also addressed the viral photos which had netizens complaining that she was "too skinny" last month.

According to Yip, she has grown used to these type of comments and could care less about them.

"People are strange. When I put on weight previously, they said I looked like a fat aunty. Now that I'm skinny, they said I look like a bag of bones.

"The (comments) are contradictory, so I don't care what others have to say. I'm happiest when I am being myself," she said.
