When your mum is Taiwanese actress-director Sylvia Chang – who has been in the entertainment industry for five decades – the guest list for your wedding is bound to be extraordinary.

That’s exactly what happened when Chang’s son, Oscar Wang – who is an artist in his own right – recently got married.

The 32-year-old Wang wed Chinese supermodel You Tianyi, 29, on Dec 2 after dating for seven years.

While Chang is one of the most acclaimed directors and actors, having worked in Hong Kong, Taiwanese and Chinese films, Wang is a multi-disciplinary artist who founded the Shanghai-based design studio Open Work Studio.

According to a report by a Singaporean portal, the couple had their wedding ceremony at a hotel in Hong Kong with around 600 guests, most of whom are well-known names in showbiz.

Those in attendance were Carina Lau, Rene Liu, Angelica Lee, Stella Chang, Kenny Bee, Hsu Feng, Raymond Wong, Karl Maka, Coco Chiang, Olivia Cheng, Derek Tsang, Chen Bolin, Vanness Wu, Derek Tsang, Beatrice Fang, Leah Dou and Pansy Ho.

With numerous talented guests, the wedding is said to have transformed into a concert-like celebration, featuring performances by stars such as Malaysian artiste Angelica Lee and Taiwanese singer Rene Liu, who sang a number together.

Guests did not leave empty-handed, as they were given luxury perfume and skincare.
