K-pop girl group Blackpink's Jisoo and actor Ahn Bo-hyun have called it quits two months after they publicly acknowledged their relationship.

On Tuesday (Oct 24), a well-informed source in the entertainment industry told Yonhap News Agency that the two stars have become distant due to their busy schedules and have broken up.

Jisoo's agency YG Entertainment confirmed the news in a short statement, saying: "It's true that Jisoo and Ahn Bo-hyun have split."

The breakup comes two months after Korean media outlet Dispatch reported that Jisoo and Ahn were dating and shared photos of the pair meeting up at Jisoo's home in Yongsan, South Korea.

According to Dispatch's report in August, Ahn would adjust his work commitments and try his best to accommodate Jisoo's busy schedule.

The media outlet added then that the pair would also meet up at the Blackpink member's apartment whenever she returned from an overseas schedule.

Ahn, 35, is seven years older than Jisoo, 28. He kickstarted his career in 2007 as a model but shifted to acting in 2014. He is best known for his roles in the dramas Itaewon Class (2020) and My Name (2021).

Meanwhile, Jisoo debuted as a member of Blackpink in 2016 and made history after her first solo album, Me, sold more than 1.17 million copies, a record for a K-pop solo female artiste, said YG Entertainment in April.

In addition to her singing career, Jisoo is also an actress. She made her leading role acting debut in the K-drama Snowdrop (2021-2022) and also appears in the 2023 film Dr Cheon And Lost Talisman.
