Hong Kong television host Jarvis Chow recently visited Malaysia after receiving an invitation from a travel agency to shoot a promotional video here.

During his stay in the country, Chow feasted on various cuisines and visited many sites.

His first stop was Penang, a destination that has been frequented by many Hong Kong stars including Aaron Kwok, Ruco Chan, Philip Keung, Bosco Wong and more.

“I visited Penang, Ipoh and many other places. I tried eating four bowls of noodles in one sitting, including the Penang prawn noodles and white curry mee,” he said as quoted by Oriental Daily.

“I love the feeling of going to the night market, especially in Penang. The hawkers are so warm and nice. The vibe, liveliness and delicacies ... nothing is amiss,” the 39-year-old wrote in an Instagram post.

Jarvis Chow got to enjoy plenty of delicious foods during his stay in the country.

Of course, Chow did not miss the opportunity to get a taste of Malaysia’s King Of Fruits.

According to him, one of the most memorable moments from his trip was visiting a durian farm in Penang.

“Although I’m not a durian addict, eating the freshly fallen (fruit) was really delicious. I never expected myself to finish three durians in one sitting,” he said.

He also went to Cameron Highlands where he got to experience strawberry picking, petting adorable rabbits and strolling around the famous Boh tea garden as well as Flora Park.

When the time came for him to leave, Chow took to Instagram to pen a letter expressing his appreciation.

“Thank you Malaysia. Thank you to everyone who took care of me during my stay. You were all very kind and friendly.

“I had a wonderful time in your country. I hope there will be a chance for me to return to Malaysia soon, so I can experience this kindness and warmth once more,” he wrote.

According to reports, this is not Chow’s first visit to the country. In fact, he has travelled to Malaysia multiple times in the past.

“I used to travel to Malaysia a lot. The people are really friendly, and I love (the country) very much.

“I told myself that once borders reopen, I must go to different places around the world.

“After all, the world is so big, and it would be a waste (if I) do not visit as many places as I can,” he said as quoted by Oriental Daily.
