TVB actor Mat Yeung, who is dating actress Lisa Ch'ng, wrote a touching tribute to his girlfriend's father after he passed away last month

Ch'ng's father, Malaysian businessman Datuk Bill Ch'ng Chong Poh, passed away from an illness on Feb 28 at age 83.

According to China Press, Bill travelled to Hong Kong earlier this year to visit his family. A few days after his arrival, Bill felt unwell and was admitted to the hospital.

"Uncle, thank you for your love and guidance all these years. I remember you really liked to smile and enjoy food, your laughter, smiles and little actions are all really cute, you are a truly happy spirit and your gentlemanly manners have all left an imprint in my heart, I really can’t bear to have you leave, hope you are truly free and happy,” Yeung, 42, wrote on his social media account as reported by Hong Kong media..

“Don’t you worry, I will surely take good care of Lisa, to make her feel as pampered and loved as you would. I really can’t bear to part with you. Miss you,” the Shadow Of Justice actor added.

Yeung and Lisa, 36, have been dating for seven years. In an interview with Ming Pao in 2020, Yeung was asked when he would settle down with the model-actress.

He replied: "I hope to have a certain degree of achievement and stability in my career before taking that responsibility of taking care of other people's daughter."

In December last year, Yeung was sentenced to 18 days in jail over a DUI conviction. Lisa was seen visiting him in prison a couple of times. He was released from Stanley Prison on Jan 7, a day earlier than expected.
