Syamsul Yusof’s mother, Datin Patimah Ismail, shared on Insta-story recently that she is proud to have three children-in-law whom she described as fantastic human beings and people that she loves.

The three names she listed are wives of her sons – Syamsul Yusof and Syafiq Yusof – as well as husband to daughter Nursyamin Yusof.

“We have three children-in-law who are fantastic; Nazariah Harun, Puteri Sarah Liyana Megat Kamaruddin dan Aeisyah Ustaz Zainal are good enough,” she wrote.

The person who is obviously not in that list is the second wife of Syamsul, Ira Kazar.

mStar – The Star’s Malay language portal – reported that Datuk Yusof Haslam’s wife had previously said that she does not consider Ira’s father – Kazar Saisi – as her son’s father-in-law.

She reiterated that Syamsul’s father-in-law remains Megat Kamaruddin who is Puteri Sarah’s father.

Patimah has been vocal about her displeasure regarding her son getting married to Ira, once telling a news portal that the union between Syamsul and Ira had ruined the family life of Syamsul and his first wife Puteri Sarah.

When Puteri Sarah filed for a divorce from Syamsul, Patimah wrote on her Insta-story that she just wants Sarah to be happy and that she had suffered enough, giving her encouraging words.

Syamsul and Puteri Sarah were married on March 8, 2014, and have two children Syaikhul Islam, six, and Sumayyah, four.

Her filing for divorce comes 10 days after Syamsul announced on Instagram that he married actress Ira in Thailand, and that she is his second wife.
