Malaysian-born actor Henry Golding has been named the ninth most handsome man in the world.

The Daily Mail reported that the 35-year-old star placed ninth in a list of 10 male celebrities compiled by facial cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva.

According to the surgeon, the results were obtained based on two factors: the Ancient Greek's Golden Ratio, which measures physical perfection, and the latest computerised mapping techniques.

Golding, best known for his performance in Crazy Rich Asians and Last Christmas, was found to be 87.98% accurate to the Golden Ratio because of his flattering chin shape and eye spacing.

The Sarawakian-born star bested Hollywood actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who came in at 10th place with 86.07%.

The list is topped by Bridgerton star Rege-Jean Page, 34, who scored 93.65%, followed by Chris Hemsworth, 39, and Michael B. Jordan, 35, who scored 93.53% and 93.46%, respectively.

The Golden Ratio originates from the European Renaissance and has long been used by artists and architects to create their masterpieces.

In fact, the equation was used by artist Leonardo Da Vinci to draw the perfect human male body in his work, the Vitruvian Man.

Scientists all over the world have since adopted the mathematical formula to determine one's physical perfection.

Golding previously placed at 84th in TC Candler's Top 100 Most Handsome Faces Of 2018. He was also nominated for the same list in 2019 and 2020.
