Meghan Markle was visibly emotional during Monday’s (Sept 19) funeral service for Queen Elizabeth II.
The Duchess of Sussex appeared teary-eyed as the longtime British monarch’s coffin was moved into a hearse following her state funeral in London.
An image Monday seemed to show Meghan wiping away a tear.
The funeral took place at the centuries-old Westminster church and was attended by about 2,000 people, including Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry, who was the queen’s grandson.
Elizabeth died Sept 8 at age 96, ending her record-setting 70-year reign as the Queen of Britain.
Harry’s father, King Charles, became the British monarch following his mother’s death.
Meghan and Harry stepped down from their senior royal duties in 2020 and have since moved to Southern California.
Meghan described feeling unsupported by the royal palace during an explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey last year, but spoke fondly of her relationship with Queen Elizabeth.
