Fans of the animated series BoBoiBoy will not want to miss out on the action of the animated series and movie Mechamato created by local animation studio Monsta that is set to be shown this year.
Monsta said that in conjunction with the month of October, which is dubbed ‘Mechatober’, the animated series Mechamato The Animated Series will be available on the streaming platform Netflix from Oct 1 in six different languages, including Korean and Japan.
"On Oct 3 at 6pm, viewers can catch this series on TV9 for free nationwide. In addition, the official YouTube Monsta Channel will also upload the Bahasa Melayu version of the series.
"The series is set to continue until the school holidays at the end of this year on local television channel TV3 from Dec 4 at 10.30am,” it said in a statement.
Mechamato focuses on a boy named Amato and his robot friend MechaBot, which fights evil robots, where Amato is the father of the popular character BoBoiBoy.
Meanwhile, the film Mechamato Movie will be screened in local cinemas from Dec 8 in conjunction with the year-end school holidays.
"After a three-year wait, the moment all local moviegoers have been waiting for is set to culminate with the screening of the animated film Mechamato Movie.
"Let’s enjoy Mechamato from October wherever you are,” Monsta’s head of Brand and International Sales Faiz Zainal Aabidin said in the statement.
Through a post on the Mechamato Facebook page, the film Mechamato Movie is said to be an origin arc where Amato first meets MechaBot, which crashed to earth with other evil robots.
"In the Mechamato series, Amato and MechaBot must track down all the evil robots that crashed and escaped around Kota Hilir (the fictional place in Mechamato),” it said.
Monsta is also the creator of the animated series BoBoiBoy, which has successfully penetrated over 70 countries worldwide and translated into more than 12 languages. – Bernama
