Fans of Gary Chaw rejoice – the Taiwan-based Malaysian singer will be performing at the Arena Of Stars in Genting Highlands on Nov 12.

Organised by Star Planet, the concert is titled Crazy For LIVE, and will be a 100% Malaysian production, featuring all-Malaysian musicians and a rich ensemble of musical instruments, ranging from the sitar, to Malay percussions, Chinese gu zheng, and many more.

The 43-year-old Sabah-born Chaw, who will be releasing a cover album of Cantopop classics next month, got his big break in 2006 when he released a Mandarin cover of Karyn White's 1988 song Superwoman, which won him the Best Mandarin Male singer in the 19th Golden Melody Awards. He has since carved out a solid career in Taiwan, Hong Kong and China, and was part of several popular Chinese variety shows in recent years as well.

Tickets for the concert go on sale at 2pm, Sept 20. For more information, visit www.starplanet.com.my.
