'Nope', and 6 other September movies you can say yes to

September is here, and there are local and international movies galore for moviegoers to catch.

With blockbuster season now officially over, we're into the somewhat lean months of September and October now in terms of movies, as we now await the holiday season.

That doesn't mean there isn't anything to watch though. For one, you can still catch the Japanese Film Festival 2022, where Japanese film fans can watch over 10 Japanese films that will be screened throughout the month. There will be a selection of 12 movies at selected Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) outlets in the Klang Valley (GSC Mid Valley, Nu Sentral and 1Utama) from Sept 8 to 14; Penang (GSC Gurney Plaza) from Sept 15 to 18; Johor Baru (GSC Paradigm Mall JB) from Sept 22 to 25; Kuching (GSC CityONE Megamall and The Spring Mall) and Kota Kinabalu (GSC Suria Sabah) from Oct 6 to 9.

Speaking of festivals, the Czech Film Festival 2022 will also be making a return after two years, and will be held at Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur from 23 to 25 September. The screening is free of charge – you can visit the GSC cinema website www.gsc.com.my or mobile app Sept 16 onwards to get tickets (available on a first come first serve basis).

There are also films from all over the world to watch, from Japan to India, and some notable local films as well. So, get ready folks, as this month, great and not-to-missed movies are about to hit the theaters near you.
