With people still struggling as the result of lockdowns due to the pandemic, Malaysian artiste Sasi The Don set out to write and perform a song that would console and encourage listeners

He came up with Come Follow Me, which he said in a statement is a track he hopes to motivate people to follow him out of the darkness and fight against whatever obstacles in their way.

Sasi elaborated: “It is devastating to see so many people, especially youngsters struggle with the hardships of life. I believe that music has the power to move people in unimaginable ways and I wanted to make a song that holds power, empathy and strength.

“With the help of my good friends, Come Follow Me became the perfect outlet for those in need of a safe space to get a jolt of inspiration, motivation and fighting spirit to keep moving on despite the challenges in our lives.”

Besides Asia’s Reggae ambassador doing what he does best in Come Follow Me, the track also features the vocals of Malaysian singer Sherilyn Marissakee and Sofie Andren, from Sweden.

Other big names involved in the making of Come Follow Me are Swedish producer Tomas Gralind, as well as mixing engineer Martin Ankelius and mastering engineer Bjorn Engelmann, from Cutting Room Sweden

Come Follow Me was released on March 8, and is said to have reached over 300,000 views in just 10 days.
