The tiger comes in third in the Chinese zodiac sign. Those born under this majestic animal are said to be bold and courageous.

Other traits embodied by them include being determined, stubborn, loyal, aggressive and generous.

If you’re born in the Year of the Tiger (1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010), here are 12 celebrities who share similar traits with you.

Michelle Yeoh (1962)

Arguably the most famous Malaysian in Hollywood – scratch that, showbusiness globally – Yeoh had a fantastic year in 2021 and it looks like her good fortune will continue in the Year of the Water Tiger.

Her upcoming projects include Everything Everywhere All At Once, Avatar 2, Minions: The Rise Of Gru and TV series American Born Chinese and The Witcher: Blood Origin.

Lady Gaga (1986)

Lady Gaga might have been snubbed for an Oscar nomination this year for her role as the matriarch of Gucci, Patrizia Reggiani in The House Of Gucci but the artiste has definitely made her mark in Hollywood.

Music-wise, Gaga is returning to Las Vegas for another round of her Jazz & Piano residency.

Robert Pattinson (1986)

Pattinson has come a long way since playing the vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight trilogy.

In 2020, he was in the mind-bending movie Tenet and this year, he is ready to set the film screen ablaze with his version of the caped crusader.

Pattinson is the new Batman in the upcoming movie of the same name.

The British actor said it is a dream come true to play the superhero on the big screen as he has been a lifelong fan.

“Out of all the comic-book characters and that kind of movie, I’ve seen every single one of the (Batman) movies in the cinema, which I can’t really say I’ve done for any other series.

“I was always really looking forward to them coming out,” he revealed in an interview with Total Film.

Tony Leung Chiu Wai (1962)

After four decades of entertaining Asians with comedies, wuxia and thrillers, Leung won over the international audience with his enigmatic turn as Xu Wenwu in the Marvel blockbuster Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings last year.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Leung is now worth an estimated US$20mil (RM83mil)!

Leung can next be seen in the period spy thriller Anonymous, set for an August release.

Kim Seon-ho (1986)

Last year was not too pleasant for the actor from Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha when he was accused of forcing his ex-girlfriend to go for an abortion. After a publication disputed his ex-girlfriend’s claims, Kim seems to have survived the dreaded cancel culture.

Instead of making a comeback this year, Kim is taking it slow. It seems the actor has declined many film and TV projects for 2022, including fan meets overseas.

The only project he took on is his debut movie, Sad Tropics, which will be released later this year.

Rajinikanth (1950)

It has not been a good start of the year for India’s beloved actor Rajinikanth.

On Jan 17, Rajinikanth’s daughter, director Aishwaryaa and actor Dhanush announced they are getting divorced after 18 years together.

And on Feb 1, Aishwaryaa was tested positive for Covid-19.

Hopefully, it will be a better year for King Kanth and his family moving forward.

Shawn Mendes (1998)

This year may be the year for the Canadian singer to mend his broken heart.

After splitting with his girlfriend of two years, singer Camilla Cabello, Mendes is taking time to heal.

But in case you’re concerned for him, Mendes has a message for fans with the recent release of his new song, It’ll Be Okay.

“Are we gonna make it?/ Is this gonna hurt?/I start to imagine a world where we don‘t collide/It’s making me sick but we‘ll heal and the sun will rise,” the Grammy-nominated singer croons in the ballad.

However, it is the Hindi remake of the Hollywood movie The Intern that is getting all the buzz.

The 2016 Hollywood version stars Robert De Niro as a 70-year-old who comes out of retirement and applies for a position as an intern, working for a boss, played by Anne Hathaway, at an online fashion site.

Deepika will star opposite Amitabh Bachchan in the Bollywood remake set for release second half of the year.
