‘Running Man’ star Yoo Jae-suk tests positive for Covid-19

Popular host and comedian Yoo Jae-suk tested positive for Covid-19, noted Korean media.

The Running Man star was said to have come in close contact with a confirmed Covid-19 case on Saturday (Dec 11).

His agency shared that Yoo took a PCR test and had originally tested negative. A second PCR test on Monday (Dec 13) revealed a positive result.

It’s reported that Yoo completed his second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in September.

The 49-year-old who appears in a number of variety shows – other than Running Man, he hosts Hangout With Yoo and You Quiz O The Block – has cancelled all his scheduled activities and is said to be following to the set guidelines in regards to the diagnosis.

There is no information on whether he had come in contact with any of his co-stars.

Yoo is the latest Korean celebrities to have tested positive for Covid-19.

On Dec 11, singer-songwriter and television star Yoo Hee-yeol (of Yoo Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook) was reported as a positive case. Previously, Choi Si-won of K-pop group Super Junior and actress Yoon Eun-hye had a positive result as well.

And of course, Lisa of Blackpink – who’s now recovered from Covid-19 – tested positive last month (November 2021).
