When it comes to the phrase 'Happy Wife, Happy Life,' no one takes it to heart more than Kevin Cheng.
"If your wife is not happy, don't even think for a minute that you will be happy either. I always tell Grace to do what makes her happy," he told hk.on.cc, in reference to his wife, actress Grace Chan.
“Even if she wants to film dramas again, I will support her. She is aware of how to balance her work and family because she also wants to spend more time with our sons. She chooses work that doesn’t require as much time. She’s really smart, a 200% wife and mother!” added Cheng.
The 52-year-old actor, who recently made his comeback on the TVB drama Kids' Lives Matter, has also chosen to spend more time with his children, Rafael and Yannick, especially during the pandemic. "When I was filming Kids’ Lives Matter, I didn’t see my eldest son much and he started to ignore me, which made me very sad. Now I go to the park with him every day, and he wants to be with me all the time," he said.
By doing so, Cheng has to forgo many money-making opportunities, but is content with his decision. "You can't have everything in life. If I were to go to China to work, then I will lose my sons. So, I chose to prioritise my family," he said.
Cheng seems to be doing the right thing as a husband and a father. Chan recently revealed that she remains "crazy in love with him". The actress also makes it a point to compliment her husband on his good looks, although he's not comfortable with it..
