Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza shared on her official YouTube channel recently, two music videos of her singing patriotic tracks originally performed by the late Datuk Sudirman Arshad.
The songs are Warisan and Tanggal 31, which she released exclusively on her channel.
The 42-year-old who is a fan of Sudirman told a Malay-language news portal that both these songs are her favourite patriotic tracks, and something she used to perform live during her concerts.
According to the Aku Bidadari Syurgamu singer, she hadn’t sung anything new since giving birth to her second child Muhammad Afwa Khalid, in April. So she did the two cover versions as gifts to her fans.
To put her own mark on these two popular numbers, the legendary artiste chooses to perform Tanggal 31 to joget rhythm while the music composition for Warisan is inspired by Queen’s We Are The Champion.
