The original dance sequence performed by Ross (David Schwimmer) and his sister Monica (Courteney Cox) in an episode of Friends is hilarious.

Recreated by the star with singer Ed Sheeran, which she shared on Instagram, is just as hilarious.

She wrote in the caption of the video: “Just some routine dancing with a friend...”. The video has gotten 8.5 million views so far.

The dance simply called "the routine", is featured in the sixth season of Friends' titled The One With The Routine.

Monica and Ross perform the dance they did in school as a desperate attempt to be highlighted on the set of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

Friends, an extremely popular sitcom in the 1990s that found new life via streaming platforms, recently had a one-off reunion special, Friends: The Reunion.

The unscripted reunion brought back the original stars Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry to the very Warner Brothers soundstage where Friends was taped.
