Fiza Halim, best known as the member of the 1990s musical girl group Elite, confirms her divorce from pilot Aizat Al Jefri since July 22, last year.
This is her third divorce.
The 42-year-old wrote on Instagram that she hopes no one would slander or insult her as she’s ended her latest marriage.
“I am just an ordinary human being who can’t escape the many life's challenges and obstacles.
“This is my test. I accept the fate that’s written for me... Please don't slander me. Do wish the best for myself and my children.”
She got married to Aizat in December 2016, resulting in the birth of daughter Siti Aleena Adra.
Fiza has two daughters from her first marriage to Ahmed Farriq Zainul Abidin. This marriage lasted for four years, ending in 2010.
Her second marriage was to Akademia Fantasia alum, Adam, in September 2013.
“It’s not an easy matter to talk about, which is why I had kept silent for so long. I was divorced via WhatsApp, ” she told mStar, The Star’s Malay portal.
“As for the reason why, we have gone our separate ways, let me keep that to myself and bear the responsibility of it.
“I realise the fact that I have been married three times will cause a bad perception. However, as a normal human I cannot escape from being tested.”
She further told mStar that she felt lost for a while, but things have become better now.
Although she is not thinking of reviving her acting and singing career for now, Fiza – who has been reviewing products on Instagram – added that she is open to offers to become brand ambassador.
