Hot FM has parted ways with its announcer, popular comedian and TV host Shuk Sahar.
On Jan 25, the local radio station suspended Shuk from his duties to investigate "allegations that have gone viral."
A few days prior, Shuk's wife, Rossalennah Natassiah Asshaferah, accused him of having an affair with a woman, Fara Salleh, through a series of Instagram posts.
On Feb 18, Hot FM completed the investigation and decided to terminate its contract with Shuk.
"Shuk's contract as a radio presenter at Hot FM ends effective today," said Ripple's Audience & Marketing group general manager Anida Mohd Tahrim.
"The decision was made following an internal investigation which found that Shuk had breached the terms of our contract."
Shuk later reacted to the termination in an interview with Harian Metro: "I'm OK. I understand what they have to do on their part."
He has also chosen to keep mum about the extramarital allegations for now, stating: "I'm not ready to go into the details. Give me some space and time."
