Malaysian celebrity Alif Satar revealed that he has contracted Covid-19. The actor, singer and TV host made the announcement on Instagram to his 3.1 million followers today (Nov 22).

The 30-year-old said that he had gone through several rounds of Covid-19 tests throughout his shoots, however the last one came back positive.

"Unfortunately, the latest test result that I received today shows that I am Covid-19 positive. This is both shocking and unfortunate news," Alif said in his post which is accompanied with a photo of him in a hospital gown.

Alif added that he has given the list of names of those who were in close contact with him in the past 14 days to the Ministry Of Health.

On Oct 24, Alif posted a photo of himself getting a Covid-19 swab test on the set of the local drama, Penjara Janji. "I encourage everyone to do a swab test for the safety of the wife and kids. It's not painful, just a slight discomfort that's not more than 10 seconds," the father of three wrote.
