Popular TV star Janna Nick is terrified about going on set to film an upcoming drama, Melastik Ke Hatimu.
"I'm really afraid of going to shoots. I don't want to be a virus carrier or be infected by it," she tweeted on Oct 16, after Malaysia recorded more than 600 Covid-19 cases daily for the past week.
On Oct 18, the country recorded its highest number of cases yet – 871.
Janna told Berita Harian: "Looking at the number of cases that keep rising, I'm scared because I live with my family and I don't want them to be infected."
The 25-year-old continued: "I'm always careful about following the SOPs if I have to go out such as wearing a mask and physical distancing.
"But I can't wear a mask when I'm acting and that worries me."
On Oct 12, Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced conditional MCO in three locations Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya between Oct 14 and Oct 27 after a surge in Covid-19 cases.
Filming activities are allowed as long as SOPs are followed.
