'Supergirl’s' Melissa Benoist, Chris Wood welcome their first child

In an Instagram post on Sept 26, actress Melissa Benoist announced the arrival of her son with actor Chris Wood.

The 31-year-old wrote: “Huxley Robert Wood got here a few weeks ago and this little boy is everything.”

Likewise, actor Wood posted the same photo on his account with the caption “Our son was born his name is Huxley he’s amazing and no it’s probably none of your business xo brb see you in 18 years.”

Benoist who plays the titular role in Supergirl married Wood, 32, on Sept 1 last year. Wood was a series regular on Supergirl, but left after Season Three.

In an earlier post, Benoist announced that Season Six of Supergirl would be the last. It’s scheduled to resume filming soon, and is to air sometime in the second half of 2021.
