Rainie Yang mourns ex-boyfriend Alien Huang's death in moving post

Tributes have poured in for Taiwanese actor, singer and host Alien Huang (born Huang Hong Sheng) since news of his death made headlines on Sept 16.

The 36-year-old's body was found in his apartment, just outside the entrance to his bathroom. The cause of death is still unknown.

Among the heartfelt tributes were actress and singer Rainie Yang, who was also Huang's ex-girlfriend. The two dated for three years back in high school and have remained friends over the years.

She wrote on an Instagram post (translation by 38jiejie.com), which has garnered 700,000 likes so far: "Thank you everyone for your concern. I won't pretend that I'm doing well, that I'm alright. Because it's impossible to be good, to be alright."

But Yang says the pain she feels is nothing compared to the pain felt by his family. "After finding out about the news, I was worried about Hong Sheng's family's emotions. They must be suffering several times more than me."

Even in death, she believes Huang is never truly gone.

"Hong Sheng, I believe in the future you'll still be here. It's just that you'll be using a different format to be around. Thank you for appearing in my life."
