In line with the Warriors' Fund Campaign (Kempen Tabung Pahlawan), a new song titled Perwira is released as a form of respect to the men and women who are keeping our country safe.

Written by famed songwriter Aubrey Suwito and Primeworks Studio' CEO Ahmad Izham Omar, the track is performed by songstress Ning Baizura.

The fund is to raise money to help army personnel in need of financial aid especially retired officers as well as spouses of security personnel who died in the line of duty. All are encouraged to donate.

Ahmad Izham said in a press statement: "We hope with this song, more Malaysians will become aware of the services and sacrifices our army personnel have made and are making for us."

Perwira also marks the first single from Ning Baizura after a long silence. Her last album, Kekal, was released in 2013.

Ning stated: "I am touched and honoured to be given the opportunity to sing this song ... I hope the listeners will like this song which is dedicated to all the warriors."

Perwira is available on all digital platform.
