British actress Tilda Swinton and Hong Kong director and producer Ann Hui will receive lifetime achievement awards at the Venice Film Festival in September, organisers said Monday (July 20)

"Tilda Swinton is unanimously recognised as one of the most original and powerful performers to establish herself at the end of the last century," said festival director, Alberto Barbera.
