The Communications and Multimedia Ministry has committed to releasing more digital content to encourage Malaysians to stay home.

Beginning April 8, #MuzikDiRumah sees some 300 artistes and musicians perform for Malaysians in a series of virtual concerts on muzik.my. Artistes include Ayda Jebat, Hujan, Meet Uncle Hussain, Hazama, Stacy, Datuk Jamal Abdillah and Dr Soo Wincci.

Viewers can look forward to eight 45-minute long concerts, 38 half-hour concerts and 84 song performances.

According to a press statement by the ministry, the effort is inspired by the #togetherathome global movement which saw international artistes broadcasting concerts from their own homes.

Besides encouraging Malaysians to stay at home, #MuzikDiRumah aims to generate income for the artistes and production crew involved, evoke a sense of community and instil messages of positivity during the Covid-19 pandemic.
