With the school holidays lasting from now until the end of December, it can be tough to think of things for the kids to do during this period of time.
Well, one of the activities could include a movie day for the entire family. Fortunately, there are a number of family-friendly movies being released during the school break that the whole family can enjoy, ranging from mega-Disney blockbusters to cutting edge local productions.
Frozen 2 (Now showing)

The 12-year-old secret agent with a hit TV series makes his way to the big screen, where he has to cope with not only being rendered obsolete by a new technological advancement, but also mystery that causes him to question his loyalty to secret agency MATA.
This local animated feature will be looking to continue the hot streak that local animated features have been enjoying this year, and judging from the trailer, fans can expect an exciting and action-filled ride.
Jumanji: The Next Level (Dec 5)
Cast: Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Danny Glover, Danny DeVito
Director: Jake Kasdan
Bethany, Martha and Fridge have to brave the video game world of Jumanji once again in order to rescue their friend Spencer, who has been sucked back into it. But there's something wrong with the game this time, and they even have some new players in the form of Spencer's elderly friend, Milo, and grandfather, Eddie.
Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, the 2017 reboot of the original 1995 Jumanji, was a fun-filled adventure that had Dwayne Johnson in fine, funny form. This time around, the movie adds a new twist by switching around the characters who are 'trapped' in the game avatars. We can't wait to see Johnson as an old guy trapped in the body of The Rock.
Shaun The Sheep Movie 2: Farmageddon (Dec 12)
Cast: Justin Fletcher, John Sparkes, Kate Harbour
Director: Richard Starzak
Welcome back to the idyllic Mossy Bottom Farm, where Shaun and the Flock now have to protect the farm from an alien invasion. Can he bleat the shear overwhelming odds? Will he be able to draw wool over the alien's eyes? How will the Flock cotton on without Shaun? Or will the aliens lead the lambs to slaughter?
One thing is for sure, this movie that promises to separate the sheep from the goats when it comes out. Altogether now! "He's Shaun the Sheep, he's Shaun the Sheep. He even mucks about with those who cannot bleat!"
Spies In Disguise (Dec 25)
Cast: Will Smith, Tom Holland, Rashida Jones, Karen Gillan, DJ Khaled
Director: Nick Bruno, Troy Quane
Lance Sterling, the world's greatest super spy, goes after powerful technology-based terrorist Tristan McFord with the help of Walter, a genius inventor who creates most of the gadgets Lance uses on his missions. But after drinking one of Walter's experimental serums, Lance is turned into a pigeon and forced to, er, wing it. Can Lance and Walter get their ducks in a row and save the world on the fly? Can they even manage to ruffle Tristan's feathers? Or is the once great superspy's goose now cooked?
The premise itself is absurd enough to work, and having Will Smith and Tom Holland voicing the main characters is a major plus point.
