HyppTV, which is offering several new channels to subscribers, has many reasons to celebrate this year.
HyppTV continues growing, not only with last month’s launch of its first local entertainment channel, HyppSensasi (Ch 116) – in High Definition and airs 24 hours – but also with the launch of five new channels this month.
The new channels are Comedy Central HD (Ch 609), CinemaWorld HD (Ch 650), Motorvision HD (Ch 712), SCM (Ch 228) and Playbox HD (Ch 833).
At the official launch of these channels recently, Telekom Malaysia’s executive vice president, new media Jeremy Kung said: “This launch is one of HyppTV’s milestone achievements for 2014, which also marks our continuous commitment to collaborate with local production houses in producing fresh content.”
Among the programmes on HyppSensasi is a gameshow titled Tu Dia featuring three young hosts – Alif Satar, Zoey Rahman and Farish Aziz – getting local celebrities and the general public to compete in challenges.
Those interested in local music videos can check out Beats Sensasi. Of course there are drama series and movies featured on the channel as well. Some of the outstanding programmes on Comedy Central include The Daily Show With Jon Stewart, Saturday Night Live, Key & Peele and South Park.
CinemaWorld HD features films from all over the world. The must-see offerings in September include Living Is Easy With Eyes Closed from Spain and Britain’s This Is England.
Playbox HD is a Video On Demand channel allowing subscribers to purchase local films such as Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa, Karak, 29 Februari, Magika, Jin Notti, Cicakman, and Hantu Kapcai for the month of September. Some of the international titles available on the channel are Planet 51, Sunshine Barry & The Disco Worms and Stranded.
With the exception of HyppSensasi and Playbox, these new channels are available for free to the HyppTV subscribers this month only.
