Zen Pencils creator quits job, sells house to draw cartoons

Imagine quitting a steady corporate job that you had worked for eight years to pursue a dream of drawing comics on the Internet. And selling your house to fund your dream.

It sounds like a pretty scary thing to do. And completely crazy as well! Yet that’s exactly what Australian cartoonist Gavin Aung Than did. In late 2011, he resigned from his job as a graphic designer at a firm in Melbourne to start up the cartoon blog Zen Pencils (zenpencils.com).
