TWO great storytellers have been invited to share their experiences at Tic-Tac-Toe’s second and third Storytelling Workshops in July and September 2010 respectively.

Jeeva Raghunath from India and Margaret Read MacDonald from the USA have travelled far and wide in their quest to share their passion with teachers, parents and those interested in pursuing a similar career.

Raghunath is not only a master storyteller; she is also the author of children’s books. She has written two original stories and has translated 17 books.

In her workshop, she will share tips on how to choose suitable stories for different target groups.

Her workshop will be on July 3 from 8.30am to 4.30pm and participants will see the master at work on July 4 from 9am to 9.45am. The fee is RM160 per person, inclusive of tea and lunch.

As for MacDonald, she has written over 60 books on storytelling and folklore.

She uses simple audience-participation in telling folktales. Her workshop will be on Sept 11 from 8.30am to 4.30pm and from 9am to 12.30pm on Septr 12.

The fee is RM220 per person, inclusive of tea, lunch, notes and a picture book.

You can sign up for both workshops now at RM350 per person. Registration deadline is on June 15, 2010.
