In praise of piano

Acclaimed classical pianists will be the main attraction at the inaugural HSBC Classics series from Aug 9 to 14 at the newly opened Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPac). Launching the classics series will be the Piano Festival 2005, which will see some of the best and upcoming stars of Malaysia’s piano-playing fraternity, as well as pianists from Indonesia and Britain.

Six pianists will perform music from the Western classical repertoire and a few new compositions.
