Malaysia’s short-term growth dilemma


MALAYSIA’S second-quarter 2023 (2Q23) year-on-year (y-o-y) real gross domestic product (GDP) growth turned out lower than the median estimate of 3.3% at 2.9%.

It was merely an increase of RM10.48bil in aggregate output in value terms, the lowest second-quarter performance since 2011.
